Pakistan is set to expand its football infrastructure as AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa informed the Prime Minister that both the AFC and FIFA are prepared to support Pakistan’s football projects, contingent on timely government facilitation and land allocation.
According to latest updates, construction of a new stadium and the rollout of 11 FIFA‑standard Arena pitches is on the cards, with inauguration expected soon.
The Prime Minister confirmed full backing from the government and committed to providing the necessary land to advance implementation.
The first phase includes delivery of the approved 11 FIFA‑Arena small pitches in the coming weeks. The initial two installations will be at a government school in Islamabad, aimed at improving access to quality playing surfaces and structured training.

In parallel, a full-scale football stadium will be constructed in a selected city, to be announced following completion of site selection and approvals.
This program is designed to strengthen grassroots participation while establishing a higher‑quality venue pipeline for domestic competitions and player development.
