Sindh Reveals Roads Where E-Challans Are Not Being Issued in Karachi

As the Sindh government faces public criticism over the recently launched e-ticketing system, traffic authorities have issued new clarifications to address growing concerns from motorists across Karachi.

DIG Traffic Police Pir Muhammad Shah announced that traffic challans would not be issued on roads in poor condition. He said the department aims to ensure that enforcement remains fair and considerate of the city’s infrastructure challenges.

The statement comes at a time when the government is also reviewing the amount of traffic fines amid public frustration over heavy penalties. Officials acknowledge that strict fines alone cannot change the city’s traffic behavior without parallel improvements in road quality and awareness.

A senior Sindh government official said Chief Minister Sindh had already approved relief for first-time offenders, allowing them to have fines waived within ten days if they submit a written apology in person. He added that authorities are likely to announce reduced fines for certain violations by the end of this month.

Despite the planned relief, the official confirmed that the e-ticketing system will continue to operate and expand across Karachi and other districts of Sindh to strengthen traffic regulation and improve safety on major routes.

  • To hell with this nonsense.

We are facing a cost of living crisis. People cannot afford anything anymore

It costs over 1500 for 2 people to buy food at even a moderate restaurant.

It costs nearly 3000 rs to buy sweets for a family on a happy occasion.

It costs 1000 rs to buy just 2 pomegranates. Just 2. Everything is expensive and e commerce sites are forced to charge 40 percent taxes for anything you buy.
You pay 2000 rs for every 5000 you spend

    Highest taxation
    Highest unemployment
    Highest prices

No one cares about ai or surveillance

    • In present government system, doesn’t matter, what public says as it is not public elected, all members of national and provincial assembly are loyal to their parties policies and their own financial interest.

  • There should not be any softness towards wrong side driving and driving on footpaths and pedestrian walk-ways .They should be dealt with iron-handed.

  • There is Traffic signs boards on roads no stop signs on that road where traffic comes from 4 sides no board for speed limit no board for agay school hai ,hospital hai, speed breaker hai nothing is properly installed aur chalay hai cme challan karnay even road are not clear to drive all thelas chairs are on road where v drive and where v park gari

  • before introducing e-challans, the DIG or IG should have approached the Chief Minister of Sindh and informed him that the roads need to be properly maintained, with clear markings, lanes, and signboards. Only then should they implement e-challans. This is a way of harassing the public, making them suffer due to poor infrastructure and then penalizing them. The public already struggles with issues like power, water, and gas, and now they will have to deal with e-challans as well. RULATY RAHO AWAM KO AUR NAMURAD ASH KARAY

  • Neons with instructions are must where e tickets are imposed…wrong lane drivers should be penalized…uneducated drivers should be educated at licensing authority before issuance of license…lastly DRIVER SHOULD BE PENALISED NOT THE CAR.
