‘Suzuki Alto Killer’ MG Binguo EV Officially Unveiled at Pakistan Auto Show

The MG Binguo EV has officially been unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show 2025. Although marketed under the MG name, the vehicle is essentially the Wuling Binguo EV, an electric subcompact hatchback produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling, the same automotive group that owns MG.

Here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming affordable EV that is set to hit Pakistan’s auto market.

The Binguo EV comes as a five-door city car powered by a 50 kW electric motor. It is equipped with a 31.9 kWh LFP battery that can deliver an estimated 333 kilometers of driving range under CLTC testing.

Charging times vary depending on the method: an AC charger takes roughly five and a half hours to top up the battery, while DC fast charging can boost it from 30 to 80 percent in about half an hour.

The car reaches a top speed of around 120 km/h and offers an efficient energy consumption profile for daily commuting.

Inside, the Binguo features a modern cabin with dual 10.25-inch displays, keyless entry, multiple storage spaces, and foldable rear seats that increase luggage capacity.

Safety equipment includes dual airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, a rear camera, and ISOFIX mounts. Higher-spec versions also offer a longer range and more powerful motors, while a newer “Binguo S” variant provides an extended-range battery option.

The company is yet to share details regarding the pricing, booking and after-sales services for the car.

Just earlier, MG also showcased its U9 pickup truck at the same event, marking the brand’s entry into Pakistan’s pickup segment.

  • No it isnt . Its so expensive that hardly anyone can buy it or maintain it.

    Kindly stop lying.

    • Maintenance for the Ev’s is generally 0. But yeah upfront cost is not even near the alto. Article is misguiding

      • Who told you that ? Seriously kindly site your source ?

Ev have high maintainence costs bcz you can’t take it to regular car shops but to the dealer . And charges are higher in that case since they use socialized labor

          • Depends on the brand

Tesla requires 2000$ per year for auto pilot
Further 600$ for battery upkeep and sensors

All maintenance depends on warranty and charges by your dealer.

            • definitely coming from someone who have never owned a tesla, At $99 per month it costs $1200 a year not 2000, had model S before for 2 years, didn’t need to change battery or anything , don’t know what sensors are are crapping about. Having model Y right now since last year, have spent $0 so far even in charging cuz apartment has free charging and FSD bought in full. I used to read your comments with passion cuz i thought you were someone with genuine experience but not really. Tesla come with 2 years or 50k miles warranty and 120k or 8years battery/drivetrain warranty. LOL

        • There is a difference between maintenance and repair…. Maintenance is low because there are less serviceable parts …..

          • Who told you that ?

While it’s true there are less parts . But the maintenance is required periodically due to electrical components plausible nature of breaking down.

Also battery health , motor inspection , cooling fluid and sensors all cost. You can’t even take it to erd party auto shop .

I love evs especially chinese but the issue is there are less 3rd party experts available

  • A meaningless article. Without price of the two brands, and other relative information like total cost of ownership, maintenance, after sales service etc. You cannot compare the two brands.

    • This is normal for them to furnish incomplete information.
And it’s obvious the price range would be too high for a common man to considering entry level EV.

  • Am I right that it will cost Rs. 17 lacs only?! And somebody has commented how many crores?!,,

  • Unless the prices of any and all EVs are lesser than normal gasoline/ICE cars, the domestic and international future of EVs is bleak. Internationally, there are already talks of extra taxes on EVs and even the mega car manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW, Toyota etc have revamped their plans to continue marketing/ selling their conventional cars.

  • Buying a car in Pakistan seems to become a “Hopeless Desire” for a common citizen due overpriced value of such cars which are Budget friendly in other countries. The main reason is high Taxes applied from Government on Auto Industry.

  • This section and Maryam are in competition …. both are compulsive liars.

Both pretend they know something to listen or read to.

  • I will never think about an EV Car with less than 1000 km running capacity and bike with less than 500 kms

    • LOL 1000km means 155 kWh battery. only battery cost of raw cells of LiFePO4 would be around 1 crore.

  • Vary good spacefication and price
    Maybe 1.7 million pak ripped
MY is big brand and in Pakistan have a big market in feature for E v.
Allah help him for success in Pakistan

  • Sensational heading with incomplete info. How can it be judged a KILLER of Alto without any comparison figures???

Prices of both, parts and maintenance costs comparison, etc.

Seems your editorial KPIs are only # of clicks on the article.

You should consider adding an UP and DOWN Vote on each article to get real feedback from your readers as a KPI for your writers.

  • The authors of these articles are young indls who don’t have a car of their own. They want to own an Alto for themselves that’s why they write such articles. ALTO KILLER is a very bad caption. Making fun of your own car; it is still Pakistan’s best 660 CC, accept it and own it. Thanks

  • Seriously, I don’t know why automakers are far from reality. Who is making their business strategy and who is conducting market research for them. I mean Pakistan needs small hatchback it is need of hour, but it should be launched with correct manner. These EVs are fancy toys and most of the buyers in Pakistan are from country side, their requirement is a simple good looking IC engine hatchback car in affordable price (under 20 lac). Launching such car will neither help automakers to acquire the market nor the middle class public who actually need a hatchback.

  • Phir kisi ny sasta nasha kr ky article copy paste kia hy.
killer car ki price bhi killer hi ho gi.

  • Wonderful & exelent features has introduced by Suzuki company (claimed) it is very good to see on the road. Well come 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

  • I wonder if the author of this post and editorial board (if any) will read the comments and realize that how misleading the headline is. Lame!
