Authorities in Rawalpindi have decided to launch a crackdown on online bike riders operating without proper registration. A survey to identify such riders has already begun.
On the first day, surveys were conducted in the areas of R.A. Bazaar, Naseerabad, Ganjmandi, and City Police Station, and an initial report has been sent to senior officials.
According to authorities, legal action is expected against individuals providing online bike services without a registered mobile application.
The administration has made application registration mandatory for all online bike service providers.
The crackdown aims to improve public safety, ensure proper data record-keeping, and enhance traffic regulation across the city.
