Lahore Police was just caught using ChatGPT for their social media posting on X.
The official X account of the Lahore Police posted an update about a meeting with local religious scholars, complete with photos of officers and community members seated around a long conference table, but began the post with the unmistakable line: “ChatGPT said:”
The post, still publicly visible and unedited an hour after uploading, shows that Lahore Police’s social media person copied text directly from ChatGPT without removing the prompt header. The result: an entirely normal police meeting announced with the digital equivalent of leaving your homework instructions in the assignment.
To their credit, both the meeting and the message itself seem perfectly routine, minus the unintended AI cameo. But let’s face it, who isn’t using ChatGPT these days? Even a popular newspaper recently forgot to remove ChatGPT’s words from their news page.
So in the end, it is only a minor mishap from Lahore Police’s social media team.
