Pakistan Navy Busts $130 Million Meth Shipment in Arabian Sea

Pakistan Navy Ship TABUK intercepted a suspicious stateless dhow in the Arabian Sea during a Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150).

The operation resulted in the seizure of over 2,000 kilograms of methamphetamine (ICE), with an estimated regional wholesale value of $130 million.

This marks the third consecutive major drug interdiction by Pakistan Navy ships in the past two months, highlighting the Navy’s sustained efforts against illicit trafficking at sea. Officials stated that the operation showcased the professionalism of Pakistan Navy personnel and the effectiveness of multinational coordination under CMF.

The Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its commitment to safeguard national maritime interests, enforce international maritime law under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and support global maritime security efforts.
