Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the provincial government is continuing to improve public transport and that residents will hear more positive announcements soon.
He confirmed that the Sindh Transport Department has expanded the Pink Bus service to better support women commuters. The minister said Pink BRT buses are now operating from Numaish Chorangi to Surjani, and the service will soon launch on the Edhi Orange Line BRT and the Green Line.
He added that the federal and provincial governments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have also been encouraged to introduce similar women-focused services.
Speaking at the launch of the dedicated Pink Bus service on the Green Line BRT route, Memon said the government is preparing special bikes for children with disabilities and will distribute them free of cost. He noted that the Transport Department is holding daily meetings to finalize the distribution process.
Memon emphasized that providing accessible and inclusive transport is a shared responsibility, and the provincial government is working to ensure that all groups receive the facilities they need.
