Islamabad is Getting a New Rs. 3.2 Billion Capital House

The Islamabad Capital Territory is set to get its own Capital House in F-5 after the Capital Development Authority approved the project’s PC-I on Thursday.

The approval came during a meeting of the CDA Development Working Party chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, which cleared several mega projects worth more than Rs. 83 billion.

According to officials, the Capital House will be built at a cost of Rs. 3.2 billion, following the model of Sindh, Punjab, KP and Balochistan Houses. The facility will replace fragmented government accommodation, and the CDA plans to complete the project within two years once work begins.

The CDA-DWP also approved the construction of government officers’ residences in Islamabad at an estimated cost of Rs. 3 billion. The residential building will feature a ground floor plus 14 additional floors and will include electrical, mechanical and horticulture works.

The project carries a completion timeline of 24 months. In addition, the authority approved the PC-I for upgrading the Diplomatic Enclave. The improvement project is expected to cost Rs. 635 million and will be completed in six months.
