Pakistani Speedster Takes a Double-Hattrick in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy [Video]

The final day of the group stages of the 2025/26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy produced history as Musa Khan claimed four wickets in four balls — a rare feat that propelled his team closer to victory.

Representing Islamabad Region, the fiery pacer dismissed four of Peshawar Region’s batters on consecutive deliveries, a sequence not witnessed in the competition for more than a decade.

With Peshawar already following on and staring defeat in the face, Waqar Ahmed briefly resisted Islamabad’s surging attack before Musa shattered his stumps with the first ball of the 46th over. He then trapped Zubair Khan LBW, completed his hat-trick by removing Abbas Ali, and capped the spell by bowling Pakistan’s internationally capped wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris — four wickets in four balls.

These heroics followed his five-wicket haul in the first innings, which had already tilted the match in Islamabad’s favour. Rohail Nazir’s side piled up 563 runs before dismissing Peshawar for 231 to enforce the follow-on. Musa’s second-innings burst left Peshawar staring at a humiliating defeat.

Close observers of Musa’s career have long believed he possesses the raw potential to return to Pakistan’s colours, and this performance will only reinforce that belief. Domestic cricket has produced many memorable spells, but this one is destined to remain in the archives.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy continues to serve as a platform that revives careers, uncovers new heroes, and places selectors under pressure at just the right time. On this particular day, Musa Khan ensured the spotlight belonged entirely to him.
