Islamabad Warns Restaurants to Register Before Deadline or Get Sealed

Only three days remain for restaurants and food points in Islamabad to complete their mandatory registration process, as authorities prepare to launch a strict crackdown on unregistered businesses.

Officials confirmed that action will begin immediately after the November 30 deadline. The Deputy Director of the Food Authority reiterated that all food outlets across the federal capital must finalize their registration by November 30 without fail.

The directive came as part of ongoing efforts to regulate food safety standards and streamline operations citywide. Dr. Tahira Sadiq, a senior official of the Food Authority, stated that from December 1 onward, no unregistered restaurant or food point will be allowed to operate.

She added that daily inspections will be conducted to identify defaulters and ensure full compliance with the regulations. According to the Deputy Director Operations, unregistered food points and restaurants will face sealing and heavy fines once the enforcement drive begins.

He urged owners to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid business closures and penalties. A special desk has been established at the Business Facilitation Center to support owners in obtaining licenses.

Dr. Tahira Sadiq noted that Food Authority teams are ensuring an easy and timely registration process, offering on-the-spot facilitation to help businesses comply promptly.
