Major Motorway to Be Upgraded from Four to Six Lanes

Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has announced that the government will expand the Faisalabad–Pindi Bhattian Motorway from four lanes to six. He also revealed that construction work on the Faisalabad–Lahore GT Road will begin soon.

Speaking at a workers’ convention in Faisalabad, the minister said the government is working to improve the country’s infrastructure and strengthen national transportation networks. He remarked that Pakistan’s stature in the international community has improved and praised the armed forces for safeguarding the nation.

He criticized those spreading misinformation on social media, saying they show disrespect toward the sacrifices made by soldiers who defend the country. He added that some groups cannot accept Pakistan’s success against India and pointed to past military achievements as a source of national pride.

Aleem Khan urged young people to counter misleading propaganda online and promote accurate information. He stressed that those who engage in defamatory speech against the country should face accountability.

The minister reiterated that infrastructure development remains a core priority and that road upgrades will support economic growth and improve travel efficiency for the public.
