Rawalpindi to Get Modern Family Park Worth Rs. 450 Million

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has launched a major recreational project in Adiala, where a new family park will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 450 million.

PHA Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said the park will include jogging and cycling tracks, an open-air gym, a mini-golf area, an indoor games hall, cricket and football zones, tennis courts, an ATV track, and a skating rink. He added that a water pond is also under construction.

He said the project aims to provide families in the rural belt of Rawalpindi district with modern recreational spaces close to home. The park will also offer a designated children’s play area, a café, a zipline, and paintball activities.

Ranjha said the authority is using all available resources to ensure quality public facilities. He stated that the park will create healthy entertainment opportunities for residents and introduce modern recreation options in the area.

Officials said the inauguration will feature a grand fair with traditional foods and a modern food street.

    • Oh no
.I ve upset the bots again

Use your brain. We need trees not parks.
Why isn’t govt forcing companies that cut trees to create their factories or housing schemes to plant trees ?

Parks are created every year and then they are not maintained then the land is sold.

Same old story. We need trees. We don’t need parks

  • I think as Rawalpindi need this Park for the future of Rawalpindi next generation.Healthy activities create healthy mind. Now the kids who lives in 5 Marla houses, where children can’t play,so these parks are important for people of Rawalpindi.
Thanks to the CM of Punjab who is developing Rawalpindi.

  • One option can be
Divert this money to existing parks of Rawalpindi where land already exists
    Remove encroachment if any
Bring them to some standard where talented younger can play and elders can have fresh breath
It will economize unnecessary far distance traveling

  • an excellent initiative … Next vote for PMLN Insha’Allah
i would request CM Punjab to resolve Water issues in Adayala road an surroundings.

  • Are there enough health facilities in the government hospitals, are there enough education facilities in the government-run educational institutions, is clean drinking water available to all, is there appropriate waste management system, is supply of electricity, gas and internet consistent, are all areas of Rawalpindi sufficiently connected through efficient public transport, do people feel secure? If reply to these and more similar points is in the negative, forget such parks. Such projects should be at the bottom of your list of priorities.

    • You R right and raised very serious issue but Majority of the Nation yet not rise. You are knocking at wrong Door.
This Nation is just Vote for road, sewerage and miximum for 5 or 10 Thousand. How can we demand for peace and basic necessities of life when Nation itself sell it for Nothing.

  • Efforts of PHA are praiseworthy. Kindly also look for the rehabilitation of Loi Behr , wildlife park on Islamabad Expressway, which is being gradually encroached by illegal housing and commercial activities. The access road is depleted so are the park facilities.
