The Punjab government has activated free Wi-Fi services in girls’ colleges across the province on the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aiming to expand students’ access to digital learning resources.
The initiative, implemented by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, is expected to greatly improve students’ ability to access educational material, conduct online research, and enhance their overall academic performance.
Officials say the project marks a major step toward promoting modern and digital education in Punjab.
Students and teachers have widely welcomed the move, calling free Wi-Fi a valuable facility that will make learning more convenient and effective.
Many students thanked CM Maryam Nawaz and the Safe Cities Authority, saying the effort demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting female education and creating equal opportunities for young women.
