As preparations begin for the expanded Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) in 2026, franchises have started shortlisting players they may retain ahead of the next season.
With PSL 11 set to feature eight teams for the first time, the retention window is expected to play a key role in shaping squads before the draft.
Foreign Players Available for PSL 11 Retention
Here is a list of foreign players currently available for retention for each of the existing PSL franchises. These are not confirmed retentions and will depend on the PCB’s final policy.

At the moment, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL franchises are yet to agree on how many players each team will be allowed to retain for PSL 11, which will feature eight teams for the first time.
PCB officials have proposed limiting retentions to three players per franchise to help the two new teams build competitive squads. Franchises, however, are pushing for the right to retain up to five players, arguing that releasing too many established names could weaken team identities and affect fan interest.
No final decision has been taken so far, and the number of retentions approved by the PCB will ultimately determine how many of the above players stay with their respective teams or return to the draft.
A final decision from the PCB is expected soon, after which franchises will confirm their official retention lists for PSL 11.
