The Redmi Note 15 Pro+, first introduced in China a few months ago, has now launched internationally. While the global version retains several core features from the Chinese model, Xiaomi has made notable changes across the camera system, battery setup, display protection, and overall hardware balance.
The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, matching the Chinese version in size and refresh rate. However, the screen resolution differs slightly. The global model uses a 2,772 × 1,280 pixel panel, compared with 2,772 × 1,220 pixels on the China-only variant.
Another key difference is display protection. Xiaomi has equipped the international model with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, replacing the Dragon Crystal Glass used on the Chinese version.
The phone includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. It also supports eSIMs and carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Despite having a smaller battery, the international model is thicker than its Chinese counterpart. The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is available in Black, Mocha Brown, and Glacier Blue.
Both the Chinese and international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ models are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Software remains consistent as well, with the phone running HyperOS out of the box. Memory options include 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations.
Connectivity features shared between the two versions include Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. The international model also supports Xiaomi’s Offline Communication feature, enabling device-to-device voice communication over distances of up to several kilometers without network coverage.
Xiaomi has also included its Surge T1S Tuner, which is designed to improve signal performance across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular connections.
The camera setup marks one of the biggest departures from the Chinese model. The international Redmi Note 15 Pro+ uses a 200MP HPE primary camera, replacing the 50MP main sensor found on the Chinese version. The new sensor supports 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom and offers five focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm.
An 8MP ultrawide camera remains in place on the international model, but Xiaomi has removed the 50MP telephoto camera that was included on the Chinese version.
On the front, both models share the same 32MP selfie camera.
Battery specifications also differ significantly. The Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+ includes a 7,000 mAh battery with 90W wired charging. In contrast, the international model uses a smaller 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery but supports faster 100W wired charging. It also adds 22.5W reverse wired charging support.
Pricing for the international model starts at $575 for the 8GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/512GB version is priced at $642.
