Dubai Police have issued an emergency alert urging residents to take precautionary measures as unstable weather conditions are expected to worsen across the UAE.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid going out unless necessary until midday on Friday, as heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast to hit several parts of the country, including Dubai.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a yellow weather alert, warning of heavy rainfall over western and coastal regions, including Fujairah.
Strong winds are also expected, which may cause blowing dust and sand and significantly reduce horizontal visibility.
The weather alert will remain in effect until 4:00 pm on Friday.
According to the meteorological department, temperatures will drop noticeably. Abu Dhabi is expected to see temperatures between 17°C and 22°C, Dubai between 16°C and 23°C, and Sharjah between 15°C and 21°C.
Authorities have urged the public to stay updated through official channels and follow safety advisories to avoid weather-related risks.
