Punjab Announces Another Holiday After 25 December

The Punjab government has announced public holidays on December 25 and 26 to mark Quaid-e-Azam Day and Boxing Day, respectively, according to an official notification reported by 24NewsHD.

December 25 will be observed as a province-wide public holiday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Meanwhile, December 26 has been declared a special public holiday for the Christian community on the occasion of Boxing Day.

Official notifications confirming both holidays have been issued by the Punjab government.

Earlier, the Sindh government had also declared December 25 and December 26, 2025, as public holidays. Notifications issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department stated that December 25 would be observed across Sindh, except for essential services, while December 26 would be a holiday specifically for Christian employees to observe the day after Christmas.

The announcements allow employees across both provinces to observe religious and national occasions while ensuring continuity of essential services.
