Talented Pakistani Pacers Makes Statement BPL Debut

The left-arm pacer Salman Mirza made an excellent start to his Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) campaign with a highly disciplined bowling performance.

The fast bowler completed his full four-over spell, conceding just 17 runs and picking up one wicket. He delivered 10 dot balls, applying sustained pressure on the batters throughout his spell.

Salman Mirza allowed only one boundary across his four overs, highlighting his control, accuracy, and effective use of conditions.

The performance came as Rajshahi Warriors faced Dhaka Capitals at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS), where Mirza’s tight lines and steady pace played a key role in restricting the opposition.

Mirza recently signed with Dhaka Capitals ahead of the BPL 2026 season following an impressive year in international and domestic cricket.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2025, featuring prominently for Pakistan in T20I series against Bangladesh and South Africa. His ability to swing the new ball and maintain control at the death earned praise from both pundits and team management.

His domestic form further strengthened his credentials. Mirza claimed the Player of the Final award in the National T20 Cup and continued to impress in franchise cricket with Lahore Qalandars.

Dhaka Capitals secured him to add variety and strength to their pace attack, and his early performance suggests the decision has already paid off.
