Pakistan national team goalkeeper Yousuf Butt is expected to sign for a club in the Philippines Football League within the next few days, sources report.
The Philippines Football League is the country’s top professional competition, and regularly signs experienced foreign players.
The goalkeeper has built his reputation over the years through his quick reflexes, strong shot-stopping, command of his area, and accurate distribution.
He has also delivered several Man of the Match performances for the national team. His consistent performances have led fans across South Asia to nickname him “The Wall.”
Across his career, Yousuf Butt has gathered over 400 league appearances. At club level, Butt has spent most of his career playing in Denmark.
He began his professional journey in 2007 with Hellerup IK in the Danish 1st Division, after coming through the club’s youth system. Starting as a third-choice goalkeeper, he worked his way up to become the first choice at just 18 years old.
He later played for BK Skjold and Skjold Birkerød in the Danish 2nd Division before moving to BK Glostrup Albertslund, where he became the main goalkeeper and was named club captain.
In 2014, Butt joined Brønshøj Boldklub in the Danish 1st Division and later played for Svebølle B&I.
After returning to Brønshøj in 2015, Butt continued his career with Fredensborg BI, Herlev IF, Greve Fodbold, and AB Tårnby. Over the years, he built a reputation as a reliable and experienced goalkeeper across Danish league football.
In the later phase of his career, Butt became a key player for Ishøj IF from 2021, helping the club earn promotion to the Danish 3rd Division.
He left the club in January 2024 and later played for Tårnby FF, Karlslunde IF, and most recently Gentofte-VI, whom he joined on August 6, 2025, in the Denmark Series.
