Major Progress Made on Rs. 14 Billion Road Project in Rawalpindi

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Amir Khattak reviewed progress on the Kutchery Chowk remodeling and construction project and received a detailed briefing from project officials. They reported that crews have completed 42 percent of the overall work so far.

Officials said workers have finished guide beam construction at the Iftikhar Janjua Underpass. Teams have also completed guide beam and piling work at Kutchery Chowk and the Jinnah Park Underpass.

In addition, crews have completed 90 percent of the retaining wall, while construction of the boundary wall continues at full pace. Officials confirmed that the work is moving according to the approved schedule and will reach completion in May this year.

Commissioner Khattak expressed satisfaction with the progress and directed departments to maintain the current pace to meet the deadline. He instructed officials to ensure strict adherence to approved engineering standards and emphasized that the administration will not compromise on construction quality.

The commissioner also directed departments to strengthen traffic management and public facilitation measures during construction to minimize inconvenience to residents.

He further ordered officers to enhance monitoring, maintain transparency, and improve coordination among departments to ensure timely and successful completion of the project.
