Authorities are expanding camera coverage to 88 locations in Dera Ismail Khan, 76 in Bannu, and 47 in Lakki Marwat. Officials said these three districts will become operational by the end of January.

The meeting also reviewed preparatory work for extending the project to Karak, Tank, and North Waziristan, where authorities have finalized PC-I documents and completed site identification and security assessments.

The chief minister directed officials to expand the Safe Cities network to additional divisional headquarters in phases after completing ongoing projects. He also instructed departments to identify and integrate existing CCTV cameras installed at private facilities, including commercial buildings, housing societies, and educational institutions, where feasible.

The meeting further decided to move forward with proposals to establish a Safe Cities Authority to manage governance, data use, and system operations across the province.
