Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan met German Ambassador Anka Lepel at the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday to discuss cooperation in youth education, skills development, and vocational training.
According to officials, Ambassador Lepel said the German government plans to increase the number of Pakistani students studying in Germany from 6,000 to 10,000. She said Germany aims to expand academic and professional exchanges and enhance cooperation in Pakistan’s technical and vocational education and training sector.
Rana Mashhood briefed the ambassador on the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, including its past, ongoing, and planned initiatives. He highlighted the role of the National Youth Council and its advisory function in youth-related policymaking.
The meeting also discussed the Green Youth Movement, an initiative under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program focused on environmental awareness and climate-related activities involving young people.
Ambassador Lepel acknowledged the Prime Minister’s Youth Program’s work in youth engagement, skills development, and employment-related initiatives. Both sides agreed to continue cooperation in education, vocational training, skills development, and youth exchange initiatives.
