The Excise and Taxation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has completed the auction of 11 high-demand vehicle number plates in Peshawar, generating a total revenue of Rs. 5.81 crore.
The highest bid was recorded for the number plate Wazir-1, which fetched Rs. 1.5 crore. Afridi-1 was sold for Rs. 1.40 crore, while Khan-1 attracted Rs. 1.11 crore. The plate Peshawar-1 was sold for Rs. 1 crore.
Other plates included Haripur-1, which went for Rs. 80 lakh, Yusufzai-1 for Rs. 49 lakh, and Durrani-1 for Rs. 16.6 lakh. The remaining plates, Swabi-1 and Malakand-1, were sold for Rs. 12 lakh each, DI Khan-1 for Rs. 11 lakh, and Gandapur-1 for Rs. 10.8 lakh.
The base price for all plates had been set at Rs. 10 lakh. The Excise and Taxation Department said that two plates associated with former Prime Minister Imran Khan—“Imran Khan-1” and “Imran Khan-804”—were not included in this round of auctions.
