In May 2025, he was phased out of the setup as the England and Wales Cricket Board moved away from heavy reliance on data-driven analysis.

Wilde has significant experience in franchise cricket, particularly in T20 leagues. He served as the lead analyst for Royal Challengers Bangalore, playing a key role in their IPL 2025 title-winning campaign.

He has also worked with the Desert Vipers, contributing to their success in the ILT20, where the team went on to win the championship.

In addition, Wilde has been associated with London Spirit in The Hundred, further strengthening his profile as one of the leading analysts in modern short-format cricket.

Beyond team roles, Wilde is well known for his work with CricViz, a leading global cricket analytics firm that provides advanced performance insights to international boards and franchise teams.

He is also the co-author of the award-winning book Cricket 2.0: Inside the T20 Revolution, which examines the evolution of T20 cricket and the growing influence of data, strategy, and innovation in the modern game.

With experience spanning international cricket, multiple major franchise leagues, elite analytics platforms, and published research, Freddie Wilde brings a strong analytical background to Hyderabad. His appointment adds proven title-winning expertise and modern analytical insight to the franchise’s support staff.
