Hyderabad Appoints New Batting Coach for PSL 11

Hyderabad have continued to build their coaching unit ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), confirming Hanif Malik as the franchise’s new batting coach.

The newly introduced PSL side said Malik brings a mix of international exposure and deep familiarity with Pakistan’s domestic cricket, giving the team another Pakistan-rooted voice in a coaching group that already features big overseas names.

Malik was previously part of Islamabad United’s coaching staff, adding PSL experience to Hyderabad’s backroom setup as the franchise gears up for its debut season.

Hyderabad have already made headlines with their top appointments. The franchise earlier named former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie as head coach for PSL 11.

Hyderabad’s support staff also includes Craig White and Grant Bradburn as assistant coaches, rounding off a coaching panel that blends international systems with local knowledge.

White is known for his experience in English county cricket and has held roles with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, along with work within the England national team setup. His profile is closely tied to player development and improving performance pathways.

Bradburn, meanwhile, is a familiar name in Pakistan cricket circles. He has worked within Pakistan’s high-performance structure and has previously served in coaching roles with the national men’s team, giving him strong insight into domestic talent and the players likely to feature in PSL conditions.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United have also reshaped their coaching group for PSL 11, appointing Luke Ronchi as head coach and Jacob Oram as assistant coach.
