A brother and sister were allegedly assaulted by a group of 17 people in Sargodha after they objected to the killing of their pet dog, police said.
According to Bhagtanwala Police, the female victim stated in her complaint that she was traveling on a motorcycle with her brother when the main suspect, along with his accomplices, stopped them and physically attacked both siblings.
The woman told police that four days earlier, the main accused had attempted to kill their dog. When the family objected, the suspect allegedly became angry and issued threats.
Police officials said that on the orders of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf, a case has been registered against 13 named suspects and four unidentified individuals. Authorities have launched a search operation to arrest those involved.
