ANF Seizes Narcotics Worth Rs.11.7 Million Near Educational Institutions

Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified operations against drug smuggling across multiple cities, particularly targeting areas near educational institutions.

In six operations conducted nationwide, authorities arrested seven suspects and seized 153.4 kilograms of narcotics valued at over Rs11.7 million.

According to ANF, 7.7kg of hashish was recovered near a college in Karachi’s Lyari area, while 2kg was seized near a university in Hyderabad.

Arrested suspects reportedly confessed to supplying drugs to students.

In separate operations, officials recovered 120kg of hashish near Karachi’s Northern Bypass, arresting two suspects.

Near Peshawar’s Ring Road, authorities seized 18kg of hashish and 1.3kg of crystal meth, arresting one individual.

Additional seizures included 2.4kg of hashish near a cricket ground in Peshawar and 2kg near Kohat’s Indus Highway.

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway to dismantle drug networks targeting youth.
