Traffic Officers’ Leaves Cancelled Ahead of Ramadan and Eid

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh has officially ordered the cancellation of all traffic personnel leaves ahead of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr to maintain smooth traffic flow in the city.

According to the directive, traffic congestion significantly increases during Ramadan, especially before iftar, making the full deployment of officers essential.

DIG Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh instructed that key highways, intersections, and commercial areas must have a strong traffic presence to prevent inconvenience to citizens.

He highlighted that during the last ten days of Ramadan, parking and crowding outside shopping centers and markets rise sharply, requiring additional manpower to manage traffic effectively.

The orders emphasize that, except for emergencies, no officer will be granted leave, and strict compliance with the instructions is mandatory.
