Massive Explosions Rock UAE Capital Abu Dhabi

Multiple large explosions were reported in Abu Dhabi as tensions in the region escalated sharply following a fast-moving chain of military developments involving Israel, Iran, and the United States.

The situation intensified after Israel carried out a series of missile strikes on Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran early Saturday. Soon after, US President Donald Trump said the United States had also carried out an attack on Iran in coordination with Israel.

In response, Iran has reportedly launched a retaliatory operation, with claims that US military facilities in the UAE were among the targets.

Witness accounts and online reports described powerful blasts in the UAE capital, while separate reports suggested missile interceptions over parts of the UAE and the wider Gulf region.

Amid the unfolding situation, the US mission in the UAE issued an advisory indicating heightened risk due to regional hostilities. The notice stated that the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the U.S. Consulate in Dubai instructed staff to shelter in place, and advised American citizens in the UAE to take the same precautions until further notice.

Alongside reports from Abu Dhabi, there were also unconfirmed claims of intercept activity in Bahrain and even near Saudi Arabia’s capital, pointing to a wider security alert across the region.

This is a developing story, and details regarding the exact locations, damage, and potential casualties have not been confirmed publicly at the time of writing.
