Honor’s Robot Phone remains largely a concept device, but the company has previously indicated that it plans to launch the product before the end of the year. A new rumor from China now suggests the device could arrive in the third quarter.
According to Huawei Central, the phone may launch sometime between July and September.
Concept Device With Built-In Gimbal
Despite its name, the Robot Phone is not an actual robot. Instead, the device features a three-axis gimbal designed to stabilize the main camera.
Honor has demonstrated the device several times, including at MWC earlier this month, but the prototypes shown so far have limited functionality, and the company has not shared detailed specifications.
Possible Video Focus
The latest rumor also claims that Honor’s collaboration with Arri could first appear in the Robot Phone.
Arri is known for its professional cinema cameras, and the partnership may focus on improving video recording capabilities. Combined with the built-in gimbal system, the feature could position the device as a strong option for video recording.
Launch Timing
Although the rumored window spans from July to September, the current stage of the prototypes suggests the announcement may occur closer to September.
Honor has not officially confirmed the launch timeline or specifications of the Robot Phone yet.
