The Central Bank of Pakistan has released the bank holiday schedule for Eid-ul-Fitr and Pakistan Day 2026, under which banks and financial institutions across the country will remain closed on specific days.
According to the notification, both public and private financial sectors will observe a four-day holiday during Eid and Pakistan Day. This includes the State Bank, Stock Exchange, SECP, banks, and other financial institutions.
The schedule is as follows:
- Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21 – Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
- Sunday, March 22 – Weekly off.
- Monday, March 23 – Pakistan Day holiday.
The notification further stated that the State Bank, banks, and other financial institutions will resume normal operations from March 24, while the Stock Exchange will also reopen on March 24.
This arrangement aims to help the public and businesses plan their financial activities smoothly during the holidays.
