Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed authorities to implement strict security measures across the province to protect women and children during Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
The CM ordered women police patrols, deployment of additional personnel at bus stands, markets, and commercial areas, and the use of drone cameras and night-vision binoculars at sensitive locations.
She also instructed authorities to crack down on one-wheeling and increase security around ATMs and banks.
Transport officials were directed to continuously monitor bus terminals and ensure fare lists are prominently displayed for passengers.
The measures aim to provide a safe and peaceful environment amid rising public activity during the festive season.
