The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 126th consecutive day on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.20 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
A trade texted ProPakistani that today’s growth was fueled by investors betting big on substantial economic developments for Pakistan after its bid to secure regional peace, as reported earlier. The currency market will continue to remain in its current random distribution until everything is settled in the region, he added.
Other Currencies
PKR was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) but lost one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
Meanwhile, it gained Rs. 1.66 against the British Pound (GBP) and Rs. 1.36 against the Euro (EUR).

It gained 83 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and 69 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
