Karachi Police has temporarily suspended its ongoing crackdown against non-approved vehicle number plates in view of expected rain in the city.
The decision was taken on the directions of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Azad Khan to facilitate citizens during the anticipated weather conditions.
The campaign against private, fancy, and non-approved number plates has been put on hold to prevent inconvenience to the public during rainfall.
Citizens have been advised to use this period to install government-approved number plates on their vehicles to avoid legal action once the crackdown resumes.
Karachi Police said it remains committed to ensuring enforcement of the law while extending full cooperation to the public.
