The Islamabad district administration has announced another local holiday, declaring Saturday, April 11, 2026 as a holiday within the revenue limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
According to an official notification issued by the Office of the District Magistrate Islamabad on April 10, the holiday will apply across Islamabad, adding to the growing list of administrative closures seen in the twin cities over the past few days.
However, the notification makes clear that essential services will remain fully operational. These include MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and hospitals, ensuring that key public services continue without interruption despite the holiday.
The order means routine activity in parts of the capital is likely to remain limited on Saturday, while emergency response and civic operations will continue as normal.
Residents have been advised to plan their day accordingly, especially for visits to public offices and departments that may remain closed under the holiday notification.
Earlier, another local holiday was announced for Rawalpindi in regards to the current situation in the federal capital.
