Redmi R70 and R70m Duo Launched With Budget Price And Big Batteries

Redmi has introduced two new smartphones in China, the R70 and R70m. Both devices share identical specifications, with the only difference being battery capacity. These two phones might launch in the international market with different names.

Design and Display

The Redmi R70 and R70m feature a 6.9-inch LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, along with a peak brightness of 800 nits.

Both models are available in black, white, blue, and purple color options.

Internals and Software

The Unisoc T8300 chipset powers the smartphones. They come with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The Redmi R70 is available in four configurations: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, 6GB/256GB, and 8GB/256GB. The R70m is also available in four variants, including 6GB/128GB, 6GB/256GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.

Cameras

Both devices are equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera capable of basic photography and video recording.

Battery and Pricing

The key difference between the two models lies in their battery capacity. The Redmi R70 is powered by a 6,000mAh battery, while the R70m features a larger 6,300mAh unit.

Both devices support 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. The Redmi R70 starts at $234, while the R70m starts at $263.

Both smartphones are currently available in China. There is no information on whether they will be launched in other markets.
