Laptop makers have been adding a dedicated AI button in the name of “Copilot+ PCs,” and it seems Xiaomi is going down the same route.
Xiaomi is still months away from launching the Xiaomi 18 series, but new leaks have revealed early details about the Xiaomi 18 Pro, including its design and a new dedicated AI button.
Early renders suggest the Xiaomi 18 Pro will retain a triple camera setup along with a rear display, similar to its predecessor. Reports indicate that Xiaomi plans to continue using rear screens as part of its design approach. The device is also expected to feature a 6.3-inch display on the front.
One of the notable additions is a dedicated AI button, likely placed on the side of the device. The button is expected to be customizable, allowing users to quickly access AI features in different scenarios.
It may also support functions such as controlling smart home devices and interacting with compatible Xiaomi electric vehicles.
The AI button is said to be part of a broader push toward AI integration. Earlier reports mention an “AI-powered smart window,” which could relate to expanded functionality for the rear display.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to feature a triple camera system, including dual 200MP sensors. These are likely to be used for the primary camera and a 3x telephoto lens.
The device is rumored to include a battery capacity exceeding 7,000mAh. It is also expected to support wireless charging and offer full waterproof protection.
The renders are based on early information and may not reflect the final design. More details are expected closer to the official launch of the Xiaomi 18 series.
