Pakistani batter Sahibzada Farhan has been pre-signed by the Dambulla Sixers for the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026.
Sahibzada Farhan had recently been linked with another LPL side in transfer chatter, but the latest update confirms that he will represent Dambulla instead. The signing comes at a time when the right-hander is enjoying one of the strongest T20 phases of his career.
He heads into the LPL after a prolific run in the format, having emerged as one of Pakistan’s standout T20 performers in 2026. Sahibzada Farhan built that momentum through strong displays in major competitions, including a productive campaign in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), where he played a key role for Multan Sultans.
Known for his attacking approach at the crease, Farhan finished the tournament with 380 runs in 10 innings and established himself among the leading run-scorers of the season. He also struck 23 sixes, ending the tournament as the joint-highest six-hitter in the competition.
His ability to score quickly at the top of the order is expected to add extra firepower to Dambulla’s batting unit, especially in a format where fast starts can often shape the outcome of games.
For Farhan, the move also offers another major overseas opportunity at a time when his stock in franchise cricket appears to be rising.
