Latest World Test Championship Standings After Bangladesh Whitewash Pakistan

Bangladesh have climbed above India into fifth place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table after completing a 2-0 series whitewash over Pakistan with a 78-run win in the second Test in Sylhet.

The result lifted Bangladesh to 28 points from four matches, with two wins, one defeat, and one draw, giving them a points percentage of 58.33. The rise pushed India down to sixth place, with India now sitting on 52 points from nine Tests and a points percentage of 48.15.

Pakistan, meanwhile, slipped further down to eighth place after managing just one win and three defeats in their first four matches of the cycle. They now have only four points and a points percentage of 8.33, highlighting the extent of the damage caused by the Bangladesh series.

At the top of the table, Australia remain in first place with 84 points and a points percentage of 87.50 after winning seven of their eight matches. New Zealand are second on 28 points with a points percentage of 77.78, while South Africa sit third with 36 points and 75.00. Sri Lanka are fourth with 16 points and a points percentage of 66.67.

Bangladesh sealed the series during the morning session on the final day as their bowlers removed Pakistan’s last three wickets to finish off another impressive win. Chasing a daunting 437-run target, Pakistan were bowled out for 358 in 97.2 overs despite a determined effort from Mohammad Rizwan, who made 94 off 166 balls with 10 fours.

Sajid Khan also chipped in with 28 off 36 balls, hitting five boundaries, but Pakistan’s lower order could not carry the chase through. Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam starred with the ball, returning figures of 6/120 in 34.2 overs. Nahid Rana took two wickets, while Shoriful Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed one each.
