Former Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has claimed that staff hired for the Pakistan Super League this season have still not received their payments.
Tareen made the claim in a post on X. He said the unpaid staff included logistics officers and event staff hired for the tournament.
Just so everyone knows: the staff hired by the PSL this season, including logistics officers and event staff, still have not been paid.#UnpaidEra

The claim has raised fresh questions about payment issues linked to the league’s operations. It also comes at a time when the PSL has already faced scrutiny over its commercial structure and franchise disputes.
Tareen did not share the total number of affected workers. He also did not mention the amount allegedly owed to the staff.
However, his post quickly drew attention from cricket fans and social media users. Many questioned why support staff had not been paid despite the season ending earlier.
The issue is important because logistics officers and event staff play a key role in running major sports events. They support match-day operations, team movements, venue arrangements, and other tournament requirements.
Tareen’s latest remarks come after months of tension between him and the Pakistan Cricket Board. He had earlier decided not to renew his ownership of Multan Sultans after differences with the board over PSL matters.
The PCB has not issued a detailed public response to Tareen’s latest claim so far.
The matter may now put more pressure on league officials to clarify whether all workers hired for the season have been paid.
If the claim is correct, the issue could further damage the PSL’s image and raise concerns about how event staff and temporary workers are handled during major cricket tournaments.
