Lahore Traffic Police have arrested a motorcyclist described as a record defaulter after finding more than Rs. 2 million in unpaid e-challans against him.
According to CTO Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi, the man, identified as Baz Muhammad, was stopped during routine checking due to his large record of traffic violations.
During verification of ownership details, authorities found that 421 vehicles, rickshaws, and motorcycles were registered in his name.
Police said Baz Muhammad owed more than Rs. 2.088 million in pending e-challans. His motorcycle has been taken into custody and impounded at Muslim Town police station.
The CTO said all vehicles and motorcycles registered in his name have now been blacklisted.
He added that more than 100,000 vehicles and motorcycles linked to e-challan defaulters have already been blacklisted in Lahore.
