Moto Launches Premium Pad 70 Pro With Dedicated PC Mode

Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 Pro as the successor to the Moto Pad 60 Pro introduced in April last year.

The new tablet features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a 13-inch 3.5K display, a 10,200mAh battery, and support for 120FPS gaming.

It also comes with a Moto Pen Pro stylus in the box, while the optional Snap-On Keyboard is sold separately.

Design and Display

The Moto Pad 70 Pro has a metal body measuring 6.2mm in thickness and weighing 589 grams. Motorola offers the tablet in a single Pantone Titan colour.

It features a 13-inch display with a 3.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 12-bit colour depth. The screen reaches up to 800 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode and supports Dolby Vision. Motorola has not confirmed whether the panel uses LCD or AMOLED technology.

Internals and Software

The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB of internal storage.

A microSD card slot supports storage expansion of up to 2TB. The Moto Pad 70 Pro runs Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised updates to Android 17 and Android 18, along with security updates until 2030.

Motorola says the tablet supports gaming at up to 120 frames per second. It also includes Smart Connect for transferring files and maintaining connections across compatible smartphones, tablets, and computers.

PC Mode provides a desktop-style interface for productivity tasks. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The tablet does not support LTE or other cellular connectivity.

Cameras and Audio

The Moto Pad 70 Pro has a 13MP camera on the back. An 8MP front camera handles video calls and selfies.

The tablet also includes four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Battery and Pricing

The Moto Pad 70 Pro has a 10,200 mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Motorola includes a 68W power adapter in the box, although the tablet itself can only charge at up to 45W.

A Moto Pen Pro stylus is also included, while the Snap-On Keyboard must be purchased separately. The 8GB/128GB version costs $392, while the 8GB/256GB model is priced at $423. The 8GB/256GB version costs $487 when purchased as a bundle with the Snap-On Keyboard.
