Service Long March Tyres Limited (SLM Tyres) has increased its annual production capacity for truck and bus radial tyres by 25 percent, expanding output from 1.6 million tyres to 2 million tyres per year, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company said the expansion marks the successful completion of its latest capacity enhancement initiative and reflects its continued focus on operational growth and long-term value creation.
According to the disclosure, the higher production capacity is expected to help the company meet growing demand in both domestic and export markets while strengthening its competitive position in the tyre industry.
SLM Tyres said the expanded manufacturing capability is also expected to contribute to higher revenues and improved profitability going forward.
The company manufactures truck and bus radial tyres through a joint venture between Pakistan’s Service Industries Limited and China’s Long March Tyres, catering to both local and international markets.
