The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Tuesday became the first education board in Sindh to announce the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part II (Class X) General Group results for both regular and private candidates.
Female students claimed all three top positions in this year’s examinations. Tooba Fatima of Hifaz Girls Secondary School in North Nazimabad secured first place with 90.27%. Amina Asad of Lycee Bahadurabad School finished second with 87.82%, while Safia Munawar, also from Hifaz Girls Secondary School, placed third with 87.73%.
BSEK reported that 15,446 students registered for the examinations. Of those, 14,749 appeared, while 697 were absent.
BSEK Chairman Prof. Musharraf Ali Rajput said the board announced the results on schedule through the efforts of its teachers and staff. He reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring transparency throughout the examination and result compilation process.
Controller of Examinations Ahmed Khan Chhutto announced the results under the chairman’s directives. The chairman also said the board has started the computerized assessment of e-marked answer scripts for the SSC Part I (Class IX) annual examinations.
