Redmi has confirmed that the Note 17 series will launch in China this month, following recent leaks that pointed to a July release.
The announcement came as Redmi celebrated a major sales milestone for the Note lineup, which has now surpassed 500 million units worldwide.
Sales Milestone
The Redmi Note series has been available for around 12 years and has developed into one of the company’s main smartphone lineups.
The upcoming Note 17 series will succeed last year’s Note 15 lineup and is expected to bring performance improvements, display quality, battery capacity, and other areas.
Redmi Note 17
According to previous leaks, the standard Redmi Note 17 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
The phone is also expected to feature a flat display with a 1.5K resolution, a 50MP main rear camera, and a large 9,000mAh battery.
Redmi Note 17 Pro
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is tipped to receive a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset.
It could also feature a 10,000mAh battery and a 200MP primary rear camera, giving it a larger battery and higher-resolution camera than the standard model.
Redmi has not yet officially confirmed these specifications. More details are expected when the Note 17 series launches in China later this month.
