Rs. 7.5 Billion Road Project in Punjab Nears Completion

Punjab Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth has directed authorities to complete the Faisalabad-Chiniot road development project on time while ensuring all construction work meets the prescribed quality standards.

Chairing a review meeting on Monday, the minister was informed that work on the dualization of the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road is progressing according to schedule.

Officials said the 24-kilometer section from Kamalpur Interchange to Tehsil Chowk, Chiniot, has entered its final phase. Asphalt work has been completed across the entire stretch, while lane marking and median construction are underway.

The minister said the project is being executed at a cost of Rs. 7.575 billion and, once completed, will provide safer, faster, and smoother travel between Faisalabad, Chiniot, and Sargodha.

He added that the upgraded road will improve transportation, facilitate trade and commercial activities, and contribute to the region’s economic growth.

Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth said the Communications and Works Department remains committed to completing infrastructure projects on time and in line with the Punjab government’s vision of expanding modern and safe road networks across the province.
