Pakistani airline Airblue has signed a lease agreement for three Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking a major step in its fleet expansion plans.
The announcement came from Adeel Asghar, Sales Director at Airbus, who said Airbus hosted Airblue and Macquarie AirFinance for the signing of the agreement during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 (FIA2026).
According to Asghar, the addition of the A320neo aircraft will build on Airblue’s existing Airbus A321neo fleet and support the airline’s expansion across Pakistan and international destinations.
He added that the A320neo delivers more than 20% lower fuel consumption and carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions than previous-generation aircraft while offering an improved passenger experience and greater operational efficiency.
Asghar thanked airblue and Macquarie AirFinance for their partnership, describing the agreement as an important milestone for Pakistan’s aviation sector. The A320neo is Airbus’ latest generation of single-aisle aircraft and is widely used by airlines around the world for its fuel efficiency and lower operating costs.
