Dial 1093 For Sindh | LAN | Register Complaints For Local Problems

 

The newly established telephone helpline service 1093 at the Sindh Local Government Department will function 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive complaints concerning the municipal and civic agencies.

Sindh Local Government and Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah was given a briefing to this effect as he visited the offices of the newly established complaint service helpline 1093 at Tughlaq House, Sindh Secretariat, on Wednesday.

According to a state spokesperson, the helpline service has been centred around public complaints for the following:

  • Sindh Solid Waste Management Board,
  • Karachi Water & Sewerage Board,
  • stray dogs,
  • Karachi Metropolitan Corporation,
  • district municipal corporations in the city,
  • all town committees,
  • municipal committees, and
  • municipal corporations in the province.

The minister said that the helpline service would also provide guidance to the public regarding issues concerning the issuance of birth, death and marriage registration certificates – by their respective union councils/union committees.

He sought help of the media to support the launching of the new helpline service so as to build the confidence of the public in the newly launched complaint system.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority recently enlisted an online complaint management system for their telephones and call-text related issues.

Visit the site, provide required details on the form and submit accordingly. Within 1-3 business days, a government rep will contact you for some hands-on details on the query. Statistically, it has been determined that each query is completed or rigorously assigned within 10 days.

  • 8,816 doctors,
  • 6,841 social workers,
  • 4616 lawyers,
  • 2990 senior citizens/retired,
  • 2615 political worker,
  • 2309 journalists and
  • 1695 persons belong to the NGO sector.

The Pakistan Citizen Portal was established on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan to create a robust link between the government and the people of Pakistan.

The portal enables all citizens to highlight their issues and seek intervention at the highest level.
