Ramadan is the month of blessings where Muslims should aim to do good deeds as much as possible. It is the month that teaches us important lessons such as gaining taqwa, seeking Allah’s forgiveness, acquiring patience, and cultivating good manners. This blessed month is the perfect opportunity for Muslims to adopt religious habits and to improve the shortcomings of their character. It teaches us to shun oppression, backbiting, slandering, spreading rumors, and other types of falsehood.

Abu Hurairah narrated that Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said:

“Whoever does not leave false speech, and acting according to it, then Allah (SWT) is not in need of him leaving his food and his drink.” (Jami at-Tirmidhi 707)
