While we were dreading all the runaway bride movies this year, Pakistani rom-com Heer Maan Ja‘s first trailer brought depth to the story.
We knew, based on Heer Maan Ja‘s poster, that this will indeed be a runaway bride film. Even the lead actress Hareem Farooq confirmed this.
The rom-com looks more interesting with doses of sarcastic comedy sprinkled throughout the trailer.

Now that we’ve seen the trailer, it sure looks like the bride wasn’t in on the running away plan.
There’s sass, and there’s some ransom money involved as well.
This Pakistani rom-com is looking up to be more than what meets the eye.
We’re also keeping an eye out for a dance number with Ali Rehman, Hareem Farooq, and Faizan Shaikh.
